LinkedIn is the professional social network. It requires a slightly different approach than the other main social media players (e.g. Facebook, twitter etc...) as the content you post should be geared towards your career, including your status updates. There is a lot more to this platform than a lot of people think though. It's not just an on-line resume for job seekers.
As of February 9, 2012, LinkedIn operates the world’s largest professional network on the Internet with more than 150 million members in over 200 countries and territories.
