What
genre do you write and why?
So
far I’ve mainly wrote romance, contemporary and paranormal. But I’d like to
write some fantasy and steampunk in the future.

Tell us about your latest book.
Natalie’s
Wedding is the third book in The Bridesmaid’s Checklist series. In it,
Kassandra tells us how Natalie came to marry Andrik in the past, while she’s
facing a crisis in her marriage in the present. It was quite an intense book
for me to write, really emotional. The girls are helping Nat, who believes her
husband is having an affair. At the same time that Kassandra is finally in a
committed relationship with Josh, but as time passes she notices that they’re
falling distant of each other.
How do you select the names of your characters?
For
this series I chose the names of some of my junior high best friends. It was
interesting to tell them what I did, specially because the characters aren’t
exactly like them (not physically or in their personalities). Laura is such a
sweet friend and a great listener, unlike my character that most times comes
out like a complete witch. Natalie is sweet as well, but her mother is Japanese
while my character is blonde (so she’s a mix of real life Natalie and Karoline,
another friend of ours). Marisol is strong, intelligent and a complete super
woman, the character is probably the most similar to my real life friend. And
Denise my friend has nothing to do with the character; she’s decided, motivated
and driven.
Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with the bad or good ones?
I
do. I like knowing what people think about my writing. It’s a way for me to
improve and feel proud of what I’m doing. There’s always going to be good or
bad, but I use the feedback and make something positive out of it.
What formats is the book available in?
My
books are found digitally and in print. There’s a lot of retailers that sell
them and I’m super happy and excited about it.
Who are your favourite authors?
Jay
Crownover is on the top of the list. Along with J.R. Ward, Abbi Glines,
Clarissa Clare, Kylie Scott, Imogene Cash and many others.
Who is you favourite character in your book and why?
Laura,
‘cause she’s just so much fun to write. And Josh, he’s such an awesome guy and
I really enjoy writing him.
Why do you think readers are going to enjoy your book?
I
do believe it. This series is fun to read, plus, it gets sexier and sexier. I
wrote a book that deals with love and friendship, but has a twist of humor and
sarcasm about it.

How long did it take you to write your book?
It
varies from book to book. I can write a book in around three months… but then I
edit it, re-read it, proofread it, re-read it, re-edit it… and that’s before I
send it to my editor and then it goes for a couple more rounds of edits. So,
overall, I think it takes me around six months to finish writing a book.
Who designed the cover?
These
covers are super special for me, for many different reasons. The people in them
are close to me, and I can thank them enough to be part of my writing life. The
first book are actually wedding picture of the brides in the cover, the third
(and forth) are products of my first ever photoshoot. And when it came to
create the cover I went and looked for the most talented designers I know, and
my good friend Victor was the one who embraced the challenge and helped me out.
I love that I can do all this with people that represent many good things in my
life.
Where can a reader purchase your book?
In many places! Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iBooks, Kindle, OverDrive,
Smashwords, Kobo, Blio, and many other places.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I
can be both, lol. I wrote my first two books as ideas came to my head… from
beginning to end. Later on I developed a system, and now I have drafts and time
lines and so many “processes”. I like being organized and plan everything, but
sometimes it’s fun just to be creating. So I go back and forth between one and
the other.
Do you believe in writers block?
Hell
yeah! But I also believe in being constant and making it work. It’s so much
easier when I’m inspired and feel “in the zone”. But sometimes, even if I don’t
feel like writing, and push myself and do it. I know inspiration will hit me
when it’s needed.
If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
Go
for it, you can do it!
What is your work in progress? Tell us about it.
Books
one and two of The Bridesmaid’s Series are being translated to Spanish. I have
lots of people asked me for it and I’m making it happen, now I need to find and
editor.
I’m
also writing a book about a couple that met and dated in high school, had a not
so nice breakup soon after. Then, ten years later they meet again. He is her
editor-in-chief, she is his new editor… and there’s something there besides all
the writing they have revise together. It’s called First Love and as soon as I
finish the bridesmaid series I want to finish and publish this one.
What are you currently reading?
I
read a lot… of course I love reading. It’s what pushed me into writing. And I
tend to read different books at the same time depending on my mood. Now I also
added audiobooks to the mix :)
Right
now I’m re-reading Asa by Jay Crownover, reading The Seven Year Itch
compilation by Jennifer Foor and Spark of Joy by Marie Kondo, and listening to
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.
What are some of your all time favourite books?
Marked
Men, The Mortal Instruments, The Black Dagger Brotherhood, Twilight Saga,
Rosemary Beach series and In Too Deep.
What is your favourite book you've read this year so far?
Oh,
that’s such a difficult question. I struggle so much to have just one favorite
:/

Breaking Point series by Jay Crownover, Xo, Zach by Kendall Ryan, The Dating by
Numbers series by Meghan Quinn, and Dive Bar series by Kylie Scott.
