GRIMM WOODS is about a fairy-tale-themed summer camp where a group of teenage counselors are being targeted by an unknown serial killer. Stranded in the wilderness, they struggle to stay alive after discovering that the string of gory murders are linked to their own sordid pasts.

What formats is the book available in?
GRIMM WOODS is available exclusively on Amazon (print and ebook). If you don't have a Kindle, you can read the e-version by downloading the Kindle Reading app on your tablet or mobile device. Warning: I've seen a few fake ePub versions floating around the internet. Don't trust them.
What's your favourite quote about writing/for writers?
"If you're going through hell, keep going" -Winston Churchill. Not a writing quote, but most writers will identify.
What's the best thing about being a writer?
The best thing about being a writer is that you don't have to rely on others' approval to do it. It's much harder (and more expensive) for my actor friends and opera friends and ballet friends to go through the process of finding an agent, auditioning, getting a gig, etc. They could do it on their own, too, of course, but putting on a theater or film production is more expensive than a few notepads and printer ink.
Why do you think readers are going to enjoy your book?
Readers who enjoy old-school slasher stories should enjoy GRIMM WOODS. Although some of the characters are two-dimensional murder props (on purpose) and the main character isn't necessarily likeable at the beginning, you may realize that as things unfold, there's more to them than meets the eye.

Who inspires you?
The men in my family are particularly inspirational. From my grandfather, who came to Canada with nothing but his shirt -- and his younger sister -- on his back, to my father, who has built multiple businesses from scratch.
What are your thoughts on self-publishing verses traditional publishing?
Go wherever the money is, man. Writing is a business. If you don't mind marketing and you think you can do things yourself, go for it. If you can get great terms with a traditional publisher, do that.
What are you currently reading?
I'm currently reading Anthony Bourdain's "Kitchen Confidential" with admiration and envy. It's unfair that one guy can have such incredible cooking AND writing chops.
When you’re not writing, how do you spend your time?
Trying to learn Spanish. Not that I'm trying to be a Spanish writer or anything, but I'd like to have a romantic language under my belt.
