Just write
I’d
say, if you want to write, just give it a go and see where you get to. What
have you got to lose? No-one really knows if they can write well until they sit
down and give it a go. The publishing world is changing fast, and it has never
been easier to get your work out there in front of the public on a worldwide
basis. Platforms like Amazon make publishing easy, so why not let the readers
decide if your work is worth buying and reading. They’ll soon let you know if
they like it or not.
Quality matters
But
with that said… and this is important… thousands of new books are published
every single week! That’s a lot of books and most don’t sell many copies. If
you’re going to succeed, you’ve got to make sure that your books stand out from
the crowd. You need to produce a quality product. If the book isn’t
professionally produced it’s unlikely to sell. You need a great cover and
properly edited and proofread content. Then once that’s all done, and you’ve
made your book available for sale… you need reviews.
