Interview with Patricia Brooks

What genre do you write and why?
My genre is spiritual.  My books are my honest, raw, and emotional retelling of my true spiritual experiences and I have been Divinely guided to write and share them.

Tell us about your latest book.

My new book God is in the Little Things: Messages from the Golden Angels is the continuation of my true spiritual journey. I share from my heart deep lessons I have learned. It reveals my struggle to reclaim my connection to my Higher Self and discover the meaning of my life. Through it you can travel with me through my past lives from Ancient Rome to the cobblestone streets of Boston. Cry with me as I share the intimate details of my struggles and how I learn to heal my broken heart. Spiritual revelations unfold before your eyes as I discover the true meaning of life and I begin living my new life with clarity and purpose. Watch as I move from wounded and weak to a powerful and empowered spiritual being.

What marketing methods are you using to promote your book?

I promote my book through social media and have a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and Spiritual Networks.  I am also building my email list with a free gift on my website.  Additionally I am grateful for the opportunity to have reviewers and bloggers share information on me and my work as we are doing now.  Most importantly I am building long term relationships with people through these connections and through my radio show, not only with my guests, but with my listeners too.

What's your favourite quote about writing/for writers?

The first quote that comes to mind is a silly one and is from the Keep Calm series… Keep Calm and Press Delete!

What's the best thing about being a writer?

The best thing for me about being a writer is that I can go deep within myself and not only re-examine my experiences for my own spiritual growth, but I can share my experiences with others and hopefully help them on their spiritual path too.

Where can people find out more about you and your writing?

I would love for readers to visit my website www.patriciabrooks.net where they can find out more about me, my books, read my blogs, listen to my radio show and more.  I would also welcome reader emails to discuss whatever is on their mind as they walk their spiritual path and suggestions for guests or topics they would like to hear on my radio show Spiritual Lens with Rev. Patricia Brooks.

Why do you think readers are going to enjoy your book?
Readers whether seasoned spiritual seekers or new to their spiritual journey, are telling me that my story touched them so deeply because it is as if I am speaking from their soul.  Many have expressed that emotions have surfaced from deep within themselves and they have wept while reading it.
I know that the spiritual experiences I have had and continue to have, are not unique to me and whether or not you have experienced past life regressions or channels or healings etc, your Higher Self is always communicating with you and you feel the stirrings in your soul to respond.

Where can a reader purchase your book?
Autographed copies of my books can be purchased from me through my website www.patriciabrooks.net or copies can be purchased from www.amazon.com

What books or authors have most influenced your life?
Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav and Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsh are incredible.  I am also reading My Greatest Love, My Greatest Sorrow by Johanna Carroll and Convoluted Universe by Dolores Cannon.

When you’re not writing, how do you spend your time?
My spiritual journey has taken me from living life solely through my disconnected ego mind, to wanting to only connect spiritually and almost abandoning the physical life around me, to finally and gratefully understanding the true gift of being a Spiritual being in this human form we take on.  Conscious of the opportunity to experience the physical as a spiritual being I love to spend time outside in nature, taking my dog for a walk, having coffee with friends, the simple things.
