When did you know you wanted to be a writer?
I have been writing since the age of six. It was something I always did. By the time I was a teenager, I was writing poetry and performing in front of audiences. I wrote my first book after my husband brought me a computer to stop me from taking up space in our closets with the notebooks of stories that I had hand written.
What genre do you write and why?
I write in many genres, but my favorite is Psychological thriller/ horror. I do not write a story in a way that it has been written before. I always find a way to tell a story in a fresh, innovative way.
Tell us about your latest book.
My Husband’s Woman is a story about a young, naïve woman named Meshia who becomes involved with Byron, a married attorney eighteen years her senior. The affair causes his wife Alexandra to slowly break down, and both Meshia and Byron find themselves in a position that they never saw coming.
What marketing methods are you using to promote your book?
I am on many social media sites and I regularly contribute to blogs.
What formats is the book available in?
Paperback and e-book.
What do you like to do when you're not writing?
I spend time with my family. We are very close and they are my biggest support system.
Who are your favourite authors?
There are too many to name. I will read any book/ genre as long as the story holds my attention.

What advice do you have for other writers?
Study and learn everything you can about this industry. Lose the naysayers. If you have a talent, if you have a dream, surround yourself with like-minded people who will uplift and support you. Negative people are Cancer. They will destroy you and steer you away from your dreams, if you let them. You have to stay free of as much negativity as possible. You also have to work hard and stay focused on your path. Lastly, protect your dreams and surround yourself with people who believe in you and your vision.

What's the best thing about being a writer?
The emails from people saying how much my book touched them, and meeting people at my stage plays who get mad or cheer on a character. Knowing that the audience connected with the characters, and that the story emotionally touched them, means a lot to me.
