What made you want to be a writer?
What made me want to be a writer:
I woke up in the middle of the night about three years ago with an idea for story about a semi retired baby boomer finding love again after his wife passed away. I kept getting inspirations for the story line and decided to start writing it down. It progressed from a novella to a three part novel involving foreign and home ground terrorist plots against various targets in the United States and my main characters conflict between love of family and love of country. i am still working on this project titled "The Trihedral of Chaos".
What genre do you write and why?
I write fiction genre's are varied form science fiction to adventure love stories to murder mysteries. My latest release is a Catholic faith based Science Fiction title "Gabriel's Chalice". It takes place in the year 2028. Plagues, pestilence and vast global disasters suddenly erupt. As spewing volcanoes cover the earth with a dense cloud of ash, God sends the Archangel Gabriel with a message for mankind...
Tell us a bit about your latest release.
Dr. Raphael Matteo, a leading geologist and volcanologist with Nasa, anxiously studies the signs and disasters foretold in Luke 21:ii of the New Testament. Accompany him as he encounters the Archangel Gabriel during a walk outside of Moon Base Challenger. Follow him to the Vatican and the White House as the earth is faced with a threat of another ice age. Join with the CDC as plagues threaten life on earth as we know it.
What inspired you to write this book?
While i was working on my three part novel I opened the bible one morning as I do every morning to get an inspirational boost for the day and read Luke 21:11 which is what Jesus is describing to his apostles as to how the world will be told of his return and I quote, "And there will be grat earthquakes in various places, and pestilence, and famines, and terrors from heaven; and there will be great signs."
I immediately thought how this would or could actually play out. So I created another outline and proceeded to write two books at the same time. This one was completed first. I am showing in this story how the world will not end but go through a rebirth.
How are you promoting the book?
I am promoting this book with local advertising and through my facebook page and on various facebook sites. I am in negotiation with a national publication right now and awaiting an imprimatur from my local Bishop. The book is available in print and e book format on line at Amazon and Barnes and Noble. My facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Frank-A-Ruffolo-author/188729521194331 my website is www.frankaruffolo.com.
I am currently running a drawing for an autographed copy to be held on Nov. 15. To enter go to my facebook page and "Like"
What other projects are you working on?
My current projects are along with the one all ready listed are two murder mysteries "The Shadow of Death" this takes place in Fort Lauderdale. It begins with a retired treasure hunter coming Fort Lauderdale beach with his metal detector when he gets a hit on his screen of a buried ring. When he digs it up he discovers the owner is still wearing it. My main Character Det. Jack Stenhouse must now try to solve the mystery of how this bueatiful young lady was killed by the venom of a Black Mamba which only exists in Africa. The second mystery is a sequel where I move Jack to New York City in tract of a serial killer. That one is titled "The Saturnalian Affect".
Where can people find out more about you and your writing?
There are a couple of blogs where my current release is on the TBR list one is the Paper Mustang. I am in the process of scheduling some local signings but have no information as of yet.
Anything else you'd like to add?
On a final note my wife Christine and I have been volunteers at a Marian apparition site in Hollywood fl since 1996 and I am compiling memoirs of my experiences there. I hope to have that done within the year.
Thank you for this opportunity to get myself a little more exposure.
