Regarding Banned Books Week, no books have been banned in the USA for about a half a century. See "National Hogwash Week."

ReplyDeleteBanned Books Week is organised by the ALA each year in September. Although I'm not sure to what extent actual banning happens in the US, it is a good idea to remind ourselves that some books were banned and that we should all therefore make the most of our right to read what we choose. Past generations weren't as lucky as we are.
